I didn’t take any shots of the start of this project and just started mid way through :)
Marked out where all the mortises needed to be. Scored the lines with a utility knife to cut wood grain on the surface.

First one done; it took me quite a while with just chisels.

So I ended up cheating and drilling out most of the mortises and finalising with chisels.

Glue up of the sides. Added tape to make the cleanup of glue squeeze out easier.

Flushing up the ends. Afterwards sanded the sides flat to 180.

Ready for finish! I applied a first layer of Osmo 3041 as I prefer a lighter finish on oak and gives it a more “unfinished” look.
